Chicken Tetrazzini
Creamy, comforting, and easy to make. This cozy pasta dish has it all and is sure to please! Because who wouldn’t like a casserole topped with bacon??
Chicken Tetrazzini

Yield: 8 servings
Ingredients
1/2 lb angel hair pasta
2.5 tablespoons butter, divided
1 onion, diced
1 cup mushrooms, diced
3 chicken breasts, cooked and cut into pieces
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 1/4 cup cream
2/3 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
4 green onions, sliced
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9×13 baking dish.
Fill a large pot with water and set on high heat on the stove top. Once boiling, add the pasta noodles and cook according to package directions.
Drain pasta and stir in half a tablespoon of butter. Set aside.
In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add onion and mushrooms and cook until softened.
Add flour, salt, and garlic powder to the vegetables. Let cook 2 minutes.
Add chicken. Stir in cream and broth. Let mixture come to a simmer. Once it has thickened slightly, turn off the heat.
Assemble casserole. Spread cooked pasta evenly in the bottom of a 9 x 13 dish. Pour sauce over the top. Sprinkle parmesan cheese, then green onions, then bacon over the top.
Bake 10 minutes.
Recipe Notes:
You can substitute half and half with the cream if you’re looking to decrease the calories a little bit.
You are always allowed to add in different veggies to the mix;)
Turkey can be used in place of the chicken.
