Easy Baked Chicken with Breadcrumbs

Breadcrumb Chicken Recipe

Cook Time: 45 minutes

Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts

  • butter for sheet pan

  • 3 cups buttermilk (or 3 scant cups milk+3 tablespoons vinegar)

  • 2/3 cup flour

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken in buttermilk for 30 minutes-4 hours before baking.

  2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter a large sheet pan.

  3. Combine flour, garlic powder, and salt in a shallow bowl.

  4. Set up an assembly line of 3 shallow bowls for :

    • Flour & seasonings

    • Eggs

    • Breadcrumbs

  5. Drain chicken, then roll individual breast in flour, then dip in egg, and then roll in breadcrumbs. Place on sheet pan.

  6. Repeat with remaining breasts.

  7. Bake for 45 minutes, or until internal temperature reads 165 degrees.
